This is the ying or the yang of Amor Fati, the same setup that made a contemporary masterpiece for the label’s first ever release. It’s strictly acapella, and it lasts for about three minutes and a half. The first track, which could and should be a serious radio hit contender, ‘Lesbian Race’, is a homage to the lesbian race, a bumper car competition in southern New Zealand every summer (where only lesbians can enter). The second track is a bit more of a mystery. ‘Third Rail Pick Up Shoe’, sounds like a Mars Volta-title, which ain’t bad, not bad at all.
